TONIGHT: White Women: Lessons from Rep. Greene and Rep. Crockett
Join me for a live discussion TONIGHT at 5pm PT / 8 pm ET
After posting to LinkedIn about what white women can learn from the racist remark Rep. Margorie Tayler Greens made to Rep. Jasmine Crockett during a House hearing, I was invited to join a live conversation tonight; here is the description:
In a Congressional hearing last week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) insulted Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s appearance and Rep. Crockett responded with a question for clarification that was heard around the world! Then, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) spoke up in support of Rep. Crockett. This dialogue distilled 400 years of US history into 2 minutes.
It’s easy for white women to distance themselves from MTG, but if we’re being honest, white women all carry her energy to some degree.
While white women have been conditioned to behave this way, it is our responsibility to stop causing harm and speak up when we witness harm.
Join me, Danne Smith Mathis, and Karen Fleshman in conversation live, tonight at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. Details here.
